Forums - Sales - Bethesda loses Interplay court battle about Fallout rights.

Bethesda lost the lawsuit it started, Interplay will be able to keep on selling old Fallout games and to develop and sell independently from Bethesda new Fallout games, like the MMO currently under development.

Well, makes sense I guess. I'm assuming that Interplay dev'd Fallout and Bethesda acquired a license.

To be honest I'm suprised Interplay are still going. Hope they make a great new Fallout game!

Good to hear that Interplay are back on their feet, hopefuly they will release some more RPG's

Great for interplay, I loved a lot of games they released. hopefully they can make a revival.

I would love a new Fallout with tactical gameplay and a nice, modern interface.

If they make a fallout in the style of the originals then I'll love them forever.

Well it probably helped that Fallout 3 was such a big hit.

They do not have the rights to make 'new fallout games'. They only have the right to make a Fallout MMO. Bethesda has the right to make all new 'regular' fallout games and spinoffs.

I can see the battles now.
