Its only a few hour before FF13 releases in Japan.There is huge hype surrounding the game and it is definitely going to sell very well.

But we aren't here to discuss how much it is going to sell,We are here to discuss how many units of PS3 will FF13 help sell in Japan.

The question is Whether PS3 can sell 1m units combined FF13 release week?

 

I think the PS3 will make it this week with 1m in sales worldwide cause of the big boost from FF13 and the holiday sales.

 

Will PS3 beat the Wii and DS sales this week?

This gaming gen has been expanded yet at the same time not enough machines are being moved.  FF13 will sell but will it move alot of PS3's?  No!  Some PS3's? Yes.  1 million?  NOT happening.  Its not an exclusive game.  Maybe if Sony and Square/Enix packed a 1 million limited addition Bundles.

After all I could answer yes it can possibly but no it wont probably. Thats not my prediction by the way, just illustrating how poll's need to be carefully worded.

'yes' is more like a definitive answer.

 

'maybe' is more like it could do it.like if ur estimate is 800k-1.1m

Apparently they're only shipping a million, so they'd better hope they sell that much.

But I don't think FFXIII is going to move a lot of new PS3s. It moved many PS3s at launch, and it moved a few more when the Slim came out; I'm not saying it isn't a kind of system-seller. But the fans didn't wait for the game to be released before buying PS3s, just like they didn't wait for Halo 3 to be released before buying the 360, and frankly this game isn't doing very much to expand the fanbase. End result: most of the people who want this game have PS3s already.



Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

Wait...are you saying PS3 is going to sell 1 million units, WW? Because of a game launched exclusively in Japan...I'm missing why more units will sell in NA and PAL, because a game launches in Japan?

but 'could' is your question. even i can understand what kowenicki tryes to tell you, and that means something. :D

If the PS3 wants to reach 1 million in that week, than the PS3 sales in Japan should rise to 250.000 - 300.000 units. In theory everything is possible, but i don't think it'll happen. So, my answer is: No, it will not make it to 1 million, but PS3 sales will probably reach 900.000+ though.
