Good pricing on the pack, but I'm shuddering at the hefty cost getting all those cool costumes is going to add up to.

So if you have LBP platinum does it get taken off you if you buy this pack and have a bunch of new trophies you're yet to get?
Great timing for release, because I'm sure this will convince a few people to buy the game itself. Might even convince a few real PotC nutcases to buy a PS3

I don't believe so. Other games whose DLC comes with new Trophies, like Burnout or Fallout 3, the new Trophies don't affect what you have, including Platinum. It makes sense, although it does seem strange to still have Platinum but sunddenly see your % of complete Trophies drop from 100% to whatever the difference of the new Trophies is.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
