Exactly,  A console's GOTY should be exclusive for that console, IMO.

I guess the choice would be between ODST and Fora 3 then, as they are the only full 360 exclusives really.  2009 was a rather lean year for full on exclusives for 360 I thought.  Plenty of strong console exclusives like L4D2, but that's a huge Steam title too.  2009 MS seemed more focused on exclusive DLC, building hype for Natal and securing strong budles/deals for November/December than pushing a steady stream of full 360 exclusives.  Next year will be much stronger I think.

Don't forget Halo Wars! It was a really great game. The only console RTS I've ever enjoyed (I've heard great things about BFME 2 on consoles but I played it on PC).

Actually, Halo Wars was a good RTS - I did forget about it though!.  Yeah, that would count.  I think that, while you'd expect the best game on a platform to be exclusive, it just wasn't that kind of year for 360.  The best titles on the platform were multiplatform, hence the contenders and the result.

In truth the majority of great games on PS3 were multi too - but with Uncharted 2 being an obvious standout the voting for PS3 is easy this year and they could go for the exclusive title.

I really don't think any 360 owners should be worried an exclusive wasn't picked.  Next year there will see Mass Effect 2 (okay, on PC too) and Alan Wake plus Reach, so I'm sure picking a 360 exclusive next year won't be a problem.

Yes @Reasonable, 2010 looks to be a big year for the HD consoles as far as multiple big titles. I know I will kidnap my friend's 360 for Alan Wake specifically. I was never big on ME to be honest...yes I know, I know, it's just not my cup of tea. If Alan wake gives me that feel of being utterly alone and in despair, kinda like I got in early Silent Hill games, then it's a winner. There are several PS3 titles I am also looking forward to but out of respect of this being a 360 thread I won't bother. If Reach's story stays true to the book, then that will be a TRUE heavy hitter, unlike ODST.

Wow at people complaining about it being a multi plat. Boohoo. Go play it since it's multi plat rather than trying to use this against the 360.

Having played none of the 360 exclusives I would have given GOTY to Forza because I love driving simulator games.

Same here, and don't worry - I think Mass Effect is overrated too.  I have it on PC, and like it enough to try the next, but for me it was a solid 85% title and nothing amazing.

I've always liked Ubisoft and I like many of their games, but Assassin's Creed is not among them.
