My first one was a launch unit and it RRoD'd before they admitted it was a problem, so I gave that one to my brother who had it fixed (it later RRoD'd again and he kicked it down the street and bought another one).

Later, I bought a Halo edition 360 and that RRoD'd about 2 weeks before the 3 year was up, so I was lucky there.

Now the replacement unit I got, which is out of warranty, just had a DVD drive failure. Then I punched it and it RRoD'd lol.

Oh MS, how you beat me down and yet I still come crawling back. Looks like I'm going to go grab an arcade. What's the newest model? Jasper? I just can't pass up the 360 exclusives this year.

ouch, well it seems you just got screwed from the launch 360s and bad luck...there was a thread earlier saying new model is around 3%, personally I have a Falcon which is supposed to be worse than Jasper but it holds up more than fine. Some nights I start gaming at 10 and finish at 8 in the morning, I also install all my games to my HDD so that might save heat too

Absolutely ridiculous that you would keep supporting a company that sells a broken product. I wouldn't put up with that from any company regardless of the product.
