Forums - Gaming - Best Final Battle In A JRPG

Probably gonna go with Kingdom Hearts 2.

Around the Network

Chrono Trigger, followed by Xenogears.

I'll think about it some more but I'll go with Earthbound until I think of something better.

I have to say that PE final battle was epic.

But... after that, god that sucked. Anyone that played that game knows what I mean

Lunar 2, Phantasy Star IV also had interesting final bosses.

Wow, I'm surprised none of you mentioned Melbu Frahma from Legend of Dragoon, that was a truly EPIC final battle taking place in several worlds or some crap iirc. FFVIII was also memorable thanks to Ultimecia, Griever, etc. Hmm I liked FFVI. I also liked Valkyrie Profile 1 (TRUE final battle when you face Loki), Valkyrie Profile 2 (Liam O'Brien made a wonderful Lezard Valeth "bow to me, worship me, honour my name LEZARD VALETH..no mercy from the damned, no escape from catastrophe..METEOR SWARM). Albert Odessy on the Saturn also had a pretty epic final boss battle. If Parasite Eve 1 can be considered a JRPG, then both, the regular final battle and the TRUE final battle (chrysler building), were pretty epic as well.

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.

The problem I had with LoD is that the battle was easy and long.

But aside from that, yes, it was epic, I should have mentioned that as well.
