It's a shiny treasure though, which stays in one place so as long as you have explored everywhere you are bound to find it.

Took me a while to find the Orca again after I had seen it the first time.... it appears the first time you go to the graveyard after getting the life beads... but then revets to it's normal schedule which I had no idea about, so I kept searching the gravyard again and again for it for ages.

Endless Ocean 2 has the ability to save your photos to SD cards.... i'm gonna make a thread for them when I have taken some

Canadian thank you.  I don't think a spoiler warning is needed unless there's some surprises in the game.  Didn't you get the orca for a diving buddy after the first time?

(I generally use Americans to mean people from America though... but I was at a party with a number of US and Canadian students at Halloween, and while talking about accents it was mentioned that it's always best to ask "are you Canadian" as people from the US don't mind it)

And no... you can't use any of the porpoise and such as a buddy until you have 2/3 of the information about them... which you can't get on 1 visit.

Could've shown I got some after the 1st encounter.  Damn.  I really want an Orca buddy.  Hope I don't have as much trouble as you did getting them again.  Of course, I also want to take my orca to the secret lake and feed him some californian seals but that isn't going to happen either.

No it only lets you get one bit of info per species for any 1 dive, and you definately need 2 to get one to trust you and come back to the boat. (annoying thing is then though that you can't click on a wild dolphin anymore without it coming back to the boat and pestering you to swap it for one of your current buddies.

The Orca in the game is a lot smaller than I imagined.... it would have a tough time biting those big Californian seals, I guess it is meant to be a female (I just put the game on to check though and it has a long dorsal fin, which is a male characteristic, could be an error) Or perhaps they just make it smaller so it can be your buddy (can't remember if the wild one in the graveyard was bigger or not) I would argue that it might be a child except it says in the game it is 20 years old.
Wiki says males are 6-8 metres long but mine must only be 4 metres at best.... ahh the guide in the game says 9m long.

Mine is called Hectoro by the way after a character in a series of books by Louis de Berniere.... I also have a beluga called Fenchurch (character from Douglas Adams' So Long, and Thanks for all the Fish) and my favourite is the little Commerson's dolphin called Colin (from the little Robot in the book Mostly Harmless)

On a side note, I love Douglas Adams' books.

As cool as it would be, it'd make some little girl cry, so sadly, we'll never get to feed Orca's anything other than fishfood and fish.  But damn wouldn't that be a sight to behold, panicked seals darting to and fro and a huge Orca giving chase right up onto the beach.  Or your dolphin pals fighting off a Great White (or your orca killing/eating it - happens) or a Sperm Whale fighting a giant squid or your river dolphin bravely giving his life to the pirranhas as you escape... never mind, that'd make me cry.    Lots of potential for EO2 or even 3 though
