We'll probably find out by E3, now if they have Pikmin 3, Star fox Wii and maybe one or two other motion plus Nintendo games there, in addition to what we already know is going to be there (Galaxy 2, other M, Zelda Wii, Vitality game), then I don't see how anyone could be disappointed with this year's E3, Expanded or Core.

Don't get the hype train rolling now, people will get hurt...

I can't, it runs on Solar power, lol

Lol, this won't end well...

Star Fox I doubt it, but I wonder if they'll show Retro's project. Releasing SMG2 before E3, hyping up Other M and Zelda for the rest of 2010, then hyping up Pikmin 3 and Retro's project for 2011 would be good and balanced.

I don't see SMG 2 before E3, as they don't want NSMB Wii to peel off buyers from Galaxy 2, by next holiday, enough time will have gone by that it won't make a big difference to Galaxy 2 sales.

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

I honestly can't see Nintendo releasing Galaxy 2 before E3 either. They're gonna hype it big time at the show, plus like you said, they wouldn't want to get it out so shortly after NSMBW. I wouldn't be surprised, *at all*, if Galaxy 2 came out around the holiday season. I don't know where the whole idea it would release early in the year came from anyway, seems to me some random person just pulled that date out of their ass.

@Soriku

Not NSMB's legs, Galaxy 2's legs will get cut

NSMB Wii will keep Wii going unlike Animal crossing and Wii music

If the stars were to alignin Nintendo's favor, we would see Metroid the Other M in May, Sin & Punishment 2 less than 4 weeks later in June, Super Mario Galaxy 2 in August, and Zelda 2010 in November. With one more evergreen title to lead it through the holidays, 2010 could be the greatest year (in terms of quality) that the Wii ever had.

Add in NMH2 on January 27,Tatsunoku vs Capcom on January 26th, Sky Crawlers Innocent Aces on Jan 5, Arc Rise Fantasia on June 22, Red Steel in late February, and maybe 3 more worthwhile 3rd party games peppered throughout the year, 2010 will have Wii HW sales below 2009 but ahead of 2007, again.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

^Actually with that lineup, and NSMB Wii and the vitality sensor game, you could see sales higher than 2009 in 2010, less than 2008 though

Sin & Punishment is already finished, so I don't see why they would hold on to it until June. It was originally slated for Fall/Holiday 09, and got pushed back to Q1 2010. Although it isn't listed on Nintendo's latest list, it is still on the website, which makes me think that it will actually release in Q1 2010.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
In the past we played games. In the future we watch games. - Forest-Spirit

Exciting.
But I've said this from start, and I'll say it again. This game is not coming out before 2011.

It's because Nintendo said that Galaxy 2 would be ready for release Holiday 09, but got delayed so it wouldn't interfere with the launch of NSMBWii ... Personally I think it'd be strange to delay a game an entire year when it's done.

yeeha! can't wait
