Forums - Nintendo - Zelda Wii set for E3 demo.

The mastermind behind Nintendo's Legend Of Zelda series has revealed that development on the new Wii version of the game is “well underway” – and that he is hopeful of being able to show the game off at E3 next year.

Speaking in the January issue of Official Nintendo Magazine, Eiji Aonuma said that the firm was already in the process of creating “scenarios, dungeon-making and so on”.

He added that the game was already working with MotionPlus and that his team had “already got a very solid response” from the technology.

He said: “You may be under the impression that we are still only in the early stages of development – [but] in fact we are well into the making of the game…

"Our team has been working on making the building blocks regarding the action – the scenarios, dungeon-making and so on. We are well underway.”

based on the information provided above, does anyone have a realistic estimate for how much development time is left? Obviously no one will exactly know, but is it unreasonable to believe that a Holiday 2010 release might happen?

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
In the past we played games. In the future we watch games. - Forest-Spirit

I'd figure mid-October. 10/10/2010 is too good of a date to pass up.

However, November 22 seems more realistic.

I'd definitely say it is. Nothing's guaranteed, of course, but saying it's impossible for it to release in 2010 is simply not true.
