Youre making a bold knee jerk reaction to something pachter is saying after 6 weeks of sales, in one country, and extrapolating it to LTD sales. Thats a knee jerk reaction.

The Uncharted 2 sales in America have definetely been overtracked, each sale lost in this crucial period limits LTD sales

for a game like Uncharted 2 the first 6 weeks (especially when they are int he holiday) are very very important....this is no pokemon

Facts:
1. Uncharted 2 has already sold 2M worldwide.
2. Just considering sales trends of HD console games (as tracked bg vgc), only about 5% of games reach 2M sold.

Being in the 95% percentile after only 2 months is hardly lackluster.

A game like this probably won't hold its value very long. The early game sales at $60 are far more important than sales 6 months from now at $30.

At worst case scenario, taking into account VGChartz being 10% high and NPD being 5% low of reality, VGChartz is "overtracked" by 20k In reality, VGChartz tries to get as close as possible to reality, but has a margin of error of 10% for recent sales, and tries to get closer to 5% for LTD sales. So, I expect we'll see minor corrections here and there as more sales information comes in. In general I would expect those corrections to bring the game down in sales, possibly by up to 100k. Not a lot by any means considering the game will break 1m in America.

My god just because you can't put together a decent prediction, doesn't mean you get to hate on Uncharted.

You expected the game to sell less than the first one, right?

I did, mostly due to bundling of the 1st. I figured Uncharted 2 would do 2-2.5m units. This was mostly based on previously massively hyped PS3 games that sold "good" due to bundling but the sequels did poorly. Obviously I expected a better performance by Uncharted 2 than Resistance 2 or Motorstorm: Pacific Rift.

You speak in the past tense as if UC2's LTD has arrived and your prediction has been vindicated, when in the real world we're going to have to wait and see what the game ultimately reaches (which may indeed be in the 3-4mil bracket)...
