I was looking at the upcomming releases for the Wii, and it doesn't look to good for Japan.

Biohazard looks like the only title that will reach 100k, and while i'm sure that New Super Mario Bros will still be selling at that time, i'm unsure how many gamers will buy a Wii for it. The problem with those dry periods is that the Wii only owners get bored, the word of mouth become's negative, and due this the sales start to slow down, and the situation looks worser than 2009!

I'm sure that some Japan centric company's will announce some games in January, which will come out a couple of months later. But an Atelier game or an Idolm@ster game (They are just examples), would only give a pretty small boost and just keep a small part of the fanbase happy...

Not sure, but I do know that the PS3 has a decent line up of games. About 5/6 games should do over 100k and 2 should do over 300k.

I'm sure they could throw in a few colors or maybe finally put out a bundle with an extra remote, etc. if the software isn't there.

Yakuza 4, Fist of the North Star, Star Ocean International and End of Eternity seem to me like the only big ones for the PS3. Maybe Ar Tonelico 3 will get a boost because it's in 3D now, but other than that...

It's significant because it'll still do over 100k.

Well, I don't think so either. I'm sure they'll do something to increase sales, or they may just hold off for later. Who knows.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.
