Forums - Nintendo - nintendo announces 2010 lineup (until like april)

Wow, so just 1 Wii game from Nintendo themselves?? I'm extremely disappointed, next year could be smaller than this one in terms of new 1st party releases.

Probably going to look like this:

Q1: Endless Ocean 2
Q2: S&P 2
Q3: Metroid Other M
Q4: Wii Vitality and SMG2 the big holiday titles.

So much for them working on a new "wave" of Wii games, I'm disappointed cause I walways thought 2010 was going to be the year Nintendo remembered about the Wii, but so far, its the toal opposite, with DS getting 4 retail games and 6 downloadable games, while the Wii only getting 1 and 1.

Considering the DS is way older than the Wii and that this year was extremely slow for the Wii, something is not right, Nintendo may working already on the new console games and this might be Wii's last year when it comes to new releases, although there will be too few. Remember in 2007 Nintendo released 12 or 13 new games for the Wii, in 2009 only 5 and 2010 looks to be equal if not smaller. I hope I'm wrong though but this has been a trend.

^lol, Reggie already said they were going to be showing off new games at E3

not to mention, you only have the first quarter's release schedule, so trying to extrapolate anything from that is just silly, as the first quarter is possibly the slowest

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

I want Shin Megami Tensei right now. Is that bad?

I'm still playing the poo out of Devil Survivor though, so I guess I'm good.

The beginning of the first quarter is slow, however February-March is normally a big time for games releases and it's the biggest period outside of the holiday season.

Hopefully NSMB is big enough to carry the Wii, hopefully Red Steel 2 is a bigger deal than we realize(?), or hopefully they have some game in March we don't yet know (perhaps SMG2).

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

^We already know NSMB Wii is big enough to carry the Wii, and SMG 2 won't be out in the spring, besides it won't be anywhere as big a seller as NSMB Wii.

No, Nintendo is holding back until E3, Reggie already stated they are working on more Motion plus games, and that they'll show off the Wii vitaility sensor, plus we'll probably get info on Zelda Wii's release date, we might even hear more on Pikmin.

That's fine that Nintendo is holding off the really big guns until e3 (Mario, Zelda, Metroid). But to not release Sin and Punishment in Q1 is kinda odd.

I am hoping however that this list is not complete and we'll hear more news. I mean really S&P2 should be out no later than April IMO.

I think it will be out in the spring. It's done, as far as we know or can extrapolate. There's no reason to hold it over too long.

Also Sin & Punishment. No idea why that isn't on this list

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

yay! Nintendo is smart. No Frountloading their titles! Don't see what's the problem though. I just hope Galaxy 2 gets more delovopment time. and actually has more missions instead of having comics which basicly remakes them
