i posted this gameplay vid recently in the HR official thread. its a lil bit disappointing. :(

the good: solid 30 fps confirmed.
the bad: boring gameplay confirmed pretty much as well. even the whole graphical athmosphere looks boring and flat in motion. no UC2 killer imo.

sadly, it is loosing steam to his direct competitor - Alan Wake imo.

i still hope for both games to turn out well though. :)
lets wait and see how the reviews turn out.

In the reality of the market place, the two games are no competition to each other, let alone being direct competitors.

Well, "boring gameplay confirmed" depends on point of view. It is like Demon's Souls : hate or love it.

I just realised after looking at these screens and the video Kreshnik posted, that Heavy Rain has amazingly modelled character faces. Probably the best I've seen this gen.

In most games the character faces of the main characters are quite detailed while the supporting characters and background npc's have significantly less detail, with some enemies even having the same generic copy and pasted face.

In Heavy Rain every person looks unique. It's quite impressive really.

It's a point and click adventure for consoles.  Many people will view it as boring, but that's because it isn't their genre, just like I'm bored as hell when trying to get myself to play Madden or other team sport games.  Doesn't mean the game won't be quality for what it is, but we'll just have to wait and see if the story is as stand out as I'm hoping and if they let you play through the more heart renching parts of the game such as when the son gets hit by a car. 

So sure....boring gameplay confirmed for you, but for me that video just showed "point and click adventure confirmed"

thats far from boring. if you are a fan of PC Adventure games (man i miss those games)

@the blue: You're using your opinion as a fact? If you're not a fan of the genre just say so.

@red: The 2 games are of completely different genres. I wish people would wake up to this, already. It's nothing but fanboy fuel. Seriously, don't go there.

the story is of course the most important thing for such a game and thats why we should wait for reviews / previews.

a metacritic score > 80 would be nice!
