Forums - Sony - SOTC re-release next FEBRUARY? -- New Listing At Japan Retailers!!

They must be trying to convince PS2 users to upgrade to the PS3 that haven't already by making them fall in love with the unique Team Ico experience just in time for the Last Guardian.

Around the Network

It already had a "the best" release back in '06.  Not really sure why it is getting a reprint, but it is probably more than just doing it for the hell of it.

I want team ico collection in HD for PS3 :(

I would have loved to play Shadow on a PS3 re-release. Although someone ruined the game for me by revealing a huge spoiler with the horse falling off a cliff.

What Sony needs to do is perfect & port to PS3 the already well working 'non-profit' software project called PCSX2. The emulator is already playing 'most' PS2 games full speed on mainstream computers and a well made PS3 port would probably offer 'flawless' emulation at FULL HD resolutions.
It is probably hard for the techs at Sony to admit that some kids (well...talented programmers) achieved this, but i think accepting this as an 'achievement' would be both a beautiful gesture and a way to satisfy millions of customers.

That would send out a TERRIBLE message

basically SONY would be using a piracy emulator device & changing it

A "piracy emulator device" what's that? It isn't piracy if you are taking as genuine PS2 game on a genuine PS2 disc and playing it on your computer because you were smart enough to create an emulator. Is OpenOffice a piracy emulator device because you can read Microsoft Office documents with it?

Or is there actual piracy going on here? i.e. the illegal copying and selling of game software?
