A strong 2010 line up will hurt many wallets across the globe. But which AAA type game will you ignore, or wait and see, come release day, and why?

For me its:

- Final Fantasy 13 (PS3/360)
- Mass Effect 2 (360)

Why? Never played any of the FF games, although this one was the first which really got my attention. But i'm not sure i'll like it and i'm not that fond of the whole anime japan scene with 12yr old girls in miniskirts fighting dragonspawns of hellfire and doom. And Mass Effect 2 because i played the first one and got bored to death. Thought i'd like it since i loved Dragon Age Origins, and ME being more of a shooter, but gosh.. never finished it. Heard ME2 had fixed alot of things bothering me though. Elevators, travels and made it more of a shooter.

I think its funny that those two games are probably among the most hyped and sought after on the 360/PS3.. and i'm not at all impressed :)

For me...I'd say all of them.

I never purchase games on the day they're released. Well, I did for Brawl and Twilight Princess, but I had been hyped for Brawl since Melee even came out, and Twilight Princess was my game for the Wii launch.

^ Why? Price issue or "want to see the reaction and reviews first" approach? Or maybe just "ill get them when i damn well feel like playing them"? :D

Come to think about it, im not a big first day buyer myself. Only got U2 and KZ2 first day this gen. Got my consoles quite late this gen so i've been playing games i've missed since the consoles released in 05/06. Still havent played Bioshock or Batman! :O

Non, there are tons of AAA (or at least games I want) games I've still not played; InFamous, Prototype, Borderlands, Batman:AA, AC2, Brutal Legend etc. I'll get them cheap before getting the new stuff :P.

FFXIII could turn irressitable though.

I never buy games on day 1. In fact, I never buy games at their launch price, especially AAA games which are ridiculously overpriced compared to AA or lower games at launch. The only game I got at around launch time was inFamous (only a AA game BTW), and that's because it was bundled with the PS3 I bought where the only other bundle option was Ghostbusters.

I rarely even buy games the same year they're launched (lucky for me A Crack in Time was launched late 2009, I can buy it early 2010 and this statement will still be true).

Every game I'm gonna get next year probably won't be first day buys EXCEPT for the following:

God of War III
Final Fantasy XIII
Gran Tursimo 5

They're MUST BUY FIRST DAY games for me in 2010

most of them, Im not rich

all of them because...

A) games drop in price so quick it's well worth waiting a few weeks.
B) the early part of next year especially has waay too many games coming up for me to possibly keep up with them all.

lots of them. I will be buying mass effect 2 day one. Other than that ill wait and see
