Forums - Nintendo - Are there any deals on Muramasa (US)?

I'd like to purchase Muramasa as a friend's Christmas present, but I'd also like to find it (new) for less than $50. If anyone knows of an American internet sale, or Bay Area retailer, who's selling the game cheaply, could you please let me know? Thanks!

Amazon has it for 39.99 right now:

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

Thanks! 20% off isn't bad. I was hoping for something in the $30-or-less range though: The two Secret Santa events have drained a fair chunk of my Christmas budget, and this is all I have left! Luckily, it's the last gift too...

yeah i'm waiting for a deal $19.99 or less, the lowest i've seen it was 34.99 on black friday

You can probably get of off Ebay pretty cheap, new.

Well if you ever find such a place, and it's carrying more than one copy, please think of me!

I've already lost two auctions, and I'm pessimistic about winning at a low price anytime soon. It's a good idea though!

Ah... that sucks. I dunno, haven't checked, but aren't there any of those 'buy now' auctions? Those are often still quite a bit cheaper than full price. Then again, Muramasa is pretty sought after I believe, so maybe not. And I don't know what prices are like for the US anyway.

I usually get 95% of all my games off eBay nowadays, it's really ridiculous how much cheaper they are than buying them in a store or official online stores... My latest purchases were Spirit Tracks, new for 30 euros (it's just out so 45 euros in normal stores), Madworld new for 10 euros, and Mushroom Men new for 15 euros. I'd be crazy not to buy from there.

Anyways, good luck finding the game!

I've been watching the price eagerly too noname, but yeah $35 is the lowest I've seen so far. I need to finish Odin's Sphere and Okami, but after that Muramasa will be mine when it hits $20.
