Uncharted 1 is not full of Jaggies. I will agree that KZ2 is the best graphics wise but i will also admit that i have never played Uncharted 2 so KZ wins by default.

alan wake simply has best lighting in consoles to date. i haven't played killzone 2 but i am gonna play it in jan. go watch some alan wake gameplay vids in HD and watch some killzone 2 vids in HD.

I have, and I disagree so....

I don't see what the big fuss is with Alan Wake graphics, many Xbox folks seem to think their version is going to look the same as the PC version - of which many of those amazing looking screenshots were from. Also, screenshots decieve as I found out with Forza 3, and games look very different in motion which I again found out in Forza. I think Alan Wake graphics can be best compared to Res Evil 5 graphics, only a tad better.

Looks to be a great game though, and it does still look visually great -_-


go to game trailers and type in alan wake police escape vid.

btw the pc version is cancelled(shelved indefinetly) so all you see is xbox 360 version.

I think soon i may play both uncharted and killzone at my friends house so then i will make my comparison

The police car in that reminds me of mod nation racers. That's the first thing I thought of when I saw it.

But the game is looking good. But I still think the lighting is better in KZ2 having played KZ2 and not Alan Wake.

What type of TV are you using ? Killzone 2 graphics are also amazing , but saying Uncharted 2 graphics are over rated seriously are you blind? Are you using a old SD TV ? , maybe Video Settings on your PS3 not set correctly, I don't know but WOW you are the first.

Edit: also use of simple logic no game stays on top graphically for a long time. by the time alan wake is releaserd its gonna be a year or more after killzone so what do you expect.

Why does everyone keep exclaiming Alan Wake's superiority? Alan Wake's face is like half the amount of polygons as Nathan Drake's face, you can easily SEE the polygons in his jacket, they're more noticeable than in MGS4 (which is quite noticeable). I think everyone is swooned over by the darkness and the lighting, which isn't all that spectacular.

I rarely notice the dips in framerate, and I've never had KZ2 tear. The clipping I've noticed, although not often.

 

One thing I do have to say is that level of detail pop in was more noticeable in U2 than in KZ2 for me. I very rarely notice pop in when I play KZ2, in fact I've only noticed in 3 times, ever. With U2, although they drastically improved it, I still notice level of detail pop much more often, more times than I can count, but it's not nearly as bad as many other games.

idk why bring Alan wake into this..

but anyhow, KZ2 has no frame rate drops? Only when its loading a level it stops for like 3 secs.. since it has no install.

yea i agree with you leo.

too bad alot of people have short term memory KZ 2 graphics was freaking awesome.

The nuclear explosion totally AMAZED me. UC 2 is JUST close behind.
