Forums - Sales - Will we get some kind of adjustment based on the NPD numbers?

Seems the site has a rather glaring discrepancy with NPD regarding 360 numbers. Are we going to adjust, or stick to the ones we have? I kinda think actually that we should stick to the ones we have here.. I dunno, what's the difference between NPD's way of tracking from ioi's?

Hard to say if there should be any adjustment, especially on the software side, since NPD is not the "be all end all" source that some people consider it to be. It doesn't have access to Walmart or Amazon numbers, and while it may try to compensate for that in various ways, personally I am certain this is responsible for much more inaccuracy than people may think.

I have been slacking the last few weeks and not getting up to date info. If anyone could help me out here I would appreciate it, so let me ask a question. Is there a big discrepency? And if so is the 360 over or undertracked here according to NPD?

Only if the numbers are really really off, like last year. Otherwise, there will be no adjustments.

NPD had Amazon until August iirc.  I'd guess their estimates are probably pretty accurate for Amazon, but their "one multiplier per system" method for Walmart seems insane imo.

PSP figures seem to be the most generally overtracked from what we know.  NPD has the top 2 PSP games for November being LittleBig Planet (~42k) and Assassin's Creed (~30k), while VGC has even some of their weekly sales being higher than NPD's total month.  VGC's definitely painting a rosier picture for PSP than NPD seems to...

Hey Jarrod, I've noticed people have been having access to leaked NPD numbers.  You know where I can find a list of all the leaked numbers somewhere - I'm interested to see them.
