Ignoring the fact that MW2 is not the best selling game of the year (I assume you meant that game and not Monster Hunter Freedom 2), quality isn't equal to sales. Unless you believe Wii Sports is the best game of this generation, of every year in it, and generally of all time. And that Mario Kart Wii was the 2nd best game of 2008.

i have a strong feeling that all those who will be recieving a ps3 under the christmas tree this year will pick it up once it starts sweeping up the goty's, jus do a lil second wave marketing with the awards mentioned and i can it selling easily 2.5mln by the end of january. then a goty edition in september and itll do 3 plus million by the end of 2010.
