This isn't the x engine, that's from MS, this is bungies own engine which I believe will be available to all devs.

It's a 2 and a half minute opening in-game cutscene. Bungie ALWAYS do their cutscenes in real time so we will get a good repsentation of what the final ingame graphics will look like.

I hope we'll hear a glimpse of the soundtrack. Can't wait!
