Forums - Sales - Why PS3 Lost Nov. If You Think It's Losing Steam Wait Till Christmas Rush

WDF @Darth, 200k? With no Walmart deal, no MW2, or MW2 bundle I dont think so. I expect PS3 to outsell it by 100k

^^in NA alone. We will not even get into PAL or JAP

It is interesting because the reports were that the PS3 cleaned up on Black Friday in the US. But NPD says the Xbox 360 outsold the PS3 in November (including Black Friday).

I expect the PS3 to loose steam about Dec. 26.   Until then, it will continue to sell more than last year. And it will battle the Xbox 360 for second place.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

The PS3 and the Xbox are doing fine, its the people that are reporting numbers that are leading you to believe otherwise, either way what it really comes down to is who to trust VGC or NPD?

360 outsold the PS3 also on Black Friday? Link?

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

@Mike lose steam? What about FFXIII, MAG (which has more pre-orders then Mass Effect 2), GOWIII, GT5, all those are Q1 to Early Q2 only. Imagine Q3

No one seems to be paying attention to the fact that since BF nearly all the deals on consoles have been for the 360 or the Wii. The only deals I have noticed for the PS3 were also available for the other consoles. Retailers are making it even easier for people to chose the 360 over the PS3.

Last week
Target Xbox 360 Arcade came with extra controller
Target PS3 350GB came with extra controller

Amazon had 360 Elite for $269. Then included free $50 gift card when bought with Beatles Rock Band

TRU had 360 Arcade for $99 when bought with $149 accessory and game bundle

Walmart supposedly has 360 Elite with $50 gift card deal next week

Best Buy next week has the following 360 deals:
Free $50 Gift Card w/ purchase of both Elite and Beatles Rock Band
Free $25 Gift Card w/ purchase of both Arcade and Beatles Rock Band

Target this week has the following:
Xbox 360 Elite Holiday Bundle $299.99 - Free Live Card $19.99 Value
PS3 120 GB system $299.99 - Free PSN Card $19.99 Value

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

I'm not sure he's accurate on that either. The PS3 sold more on Black Friday.

How do you know that? MSFT never released the numbers and VGC was too low on the 360 for the entire month.

Currently playing on PS3: God of War III

Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII

Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger

Is target even that big?

I'm not worried a bit, Sony can sale there consoles with value, they don't have to ban a million people to sale consoles. Value speaks for itself . Games and more games. It will be a good holiday for all, Sony , MS , and Nintendo, however the PS3 will stay ahead of the mark . We have DLC for Uncharted 2 to look forward to, also God of war 3 , and GT5 at some point in time in 2010, and many other great titles hitting. It will be exciting for all gamers this holiday.
