In New Super Mario Bros. Wii can you pick which character you want to be?

Can you pick in one player story mode?

Can you pick in 2 player co op story mode?

Can you pick in 3 player co op story mode?

Can you pick in 4 player co op story mode?

Can you pick your character in the multiplayer modes?

player 1 is always mario.

everyone else gets to choose. 1 of each character alowed.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Man I am going to get this for Christmas and I wanted to play as toad.

You can play as toad, choose two player mode, select toad, then drop 1st player, thats what I do when I want to play as someone else

What do you mean? Won't Mario just sit their and die and keep coming back in a bubble then? How do you "Drop" the 1st player?

 

Not to offend anyone but I like Mario games but Mario is probably my least favorite Mario character.

 

I don't want to be Mario!

So I guess I will be Player 1 and my son will be Player 2 -- since I am always Mario.

In the Map screen, you hit the + button to open up a menu and you can quit, quick save, or add/drop players in between levels. So Like I said select two player, then before starting a level open up the + menu and drop 1st player
