Forums - Gaming - EA stands by Tiger Woods said no other golfer can replace him.

The whole Tiger Wood thing isn't based on facts and you knwo the media is blowing it out of porportions. I'll wait till the dustc lears before judging it (if I ever will) but even fi it's true then that doesn't take away his accomplishments as a sporter. He might have cheated but he didn't abuse a child or murder someone so I don't see how he si any worse then most humans out there.

I think its a poor decision by EA, but I understand they really have no other choice business-wise.

I find Tiger Woods to be despicable. It's one thing to have a drunken one night stand once (not saying it's right or okay), but to have multiple transgressions with multiple women is another thing. He obviously doesn't care too much for his wife or kids if he could do something this hurtful too them.

I just hope Elin takes all she can from him, if they divorce. Not that that would be enough.

Oh come on, who cares about his wife? He is the greatest Golf player in the world, and maybe all time, he is a legend of sports in general, up there with Pele, Federer, etc...

I really dont know why people care about a sportsman personal life, fact is that EA wouldnt be able to find any other popular golf player out there and sales would go to hell, this is because Woods deserves such fame and whatever he does with his life doesnt matter to me.

Just because they are good at what they do, there shouldn't be consequences for their actions?

What I don't get is why he would even do it. His wife is freaking supermodel for god's sake. you can only go down from there.

Yeah, unless they kill or rape people. And you know he may have been bored of his wife so he tasted others.

All those that are claimging "personal life" doesn't matter and just citing that Woods is a golf legend which should be good enough...

Here is a thought...family values.

People that are brought up to the podium of society and are on cerial boxes need to uphold this.

He can go fuck a sheep for all I care and cheat on his wife all he wants, but there is no way I would want my kids thinking that its something that is ok to do.

Half of you are already ok with it...which is quite appaling.

You basically summed that up perfectly CGI. I mean as long as he has some sort of punishment it's fine, but to ruin his lively hood? I mean your kids will see a lot worse on the nightly news/MTV type networks.

There's nothing illegal about it so no, there shouldn't be consequences.  Until he starts physically harming other people he can do whatever he likes for all I care.  It's his wife that should be punished.

I think you misunderstood a lot of the posts. People have agreed that his actions were despicable, at least that's what I gather. However, to completely write the man off for a series of mistakes also gives off a bad message IMO. You do a crime, you have to do the time, I agree with that. He's seen nothing but ridicule since the story first aired. I think that can be more punishment than if he were jumped for it.

Point is, yes he made mistakes, yes they were big. Should his accomplishments and contributions now be completely ignored?

Of course not...he needs to step way form the spotlight though.

This is such an easy fix for his publis image.

He needs to step away form the spotlight for a year or two. Then enter a golf tournament which he wins convincingly... there he needs to break down and start crying on camera...appologizing for everything.

Done. Woods is a hero again. Press, public, jesus...all love him again.

he is richer than all of us combined. No one is ruining mr. Woods livelyhood by taking away his million dollar sponsorships...

No, they don't need to.  Why should I uphold your values?  They aren't my values.  Keep them to yourself.  Teach your own kids how to live instead of blaming other people.  Really, this mentality is just another excuse for innefective parenting from people to weak to take responsibility for their own lives.

What's your next argument going to be, that we should ban all video games because they train kids to be psycho-killers?  Again, people need to learn how to raise their own kids responsibly.

This isn't something like religion or school that can be debated.

If you and your family values don't include husband and wife not cheating on each other...i wish you good luck. Looking forward to seeing your kids on Jerry Springer.
