I think you misunderstood a lot of the posts. People have agreed that his actions were despicable, at least that's what I gather. However, to completely write the man off for a series of mistakes also gives off a bad message IMO. You do a crime, you have to do the time, I agree with that. He's seen nothing but ridicule since the story first aired. I think that can be more punishment than if he were jumped for it.

Point is, yes he made mistakes, yes they were big. Should his accomplishments and contributions now be completely ignored?

Of course not...he needs to step way form the spotlight though.

This is such an easy fix for his publis image.

He needs to step away form the spotlight for a year or two. Then enter a golf tournament which he wins convincingly... there he needs to break down and start crying on camera...appologizing for everything.

Done. Woods is a hero again. Press, public, jesus...all love him again.
