lol I posted with love. Just was thinking about it recently. 10 wasn't bad, but it was a disappointment in comparison to its siblings. I was more curious if anyone had any input on the story, but I wanted to make it fun.

I Loved FFX, one of the best games i played

And i still do

What´s so bad talking about aspects of game, which I (or Incondite) don´t like? Only because game is old? FF is great serie, but that doesn´t mean, that it hasn´t any flaws.

For topic: I somewhat like story, it´s different from, for example, VII, but good. VA is good, apart from laughing scene, ehh, but has some technical problems, sometimes, the are some pauses between sentences. But it isn´t that bad, after all.

What I don´t like, was changing chars in battles. If you want all chars get experience, they must be used at least for defense. So, normal battle was something like this: Def, Def, Def, Def, Kill, Kill, Kill. Little annoying after while.

An second thing. In "normal" game, each char has a role. Lulu is Black Mage, Yuna is White Mage, and so on. And then bam, in post game everyone can learn everything. I like more, like it was in IX, each char has some abilities and cannot learn all.

@Nanaki

That is actually what I disliked most about FFX. When you start doing all of the side-quests, the only character that actually has a different role from the rest is Yuna with her Aeons, other than that, it's not funny to see Tidus or Auron being as good as a black mage as Lulu, or Lulu and Yuna being able to hit as hard as Auron or Kihmari

That broke the game too much, as you could have an overpowered team of three equal characters that only had Character model differences.

*spoiler*

I think the thing that got me about the story is that in the end, the religion was all fake. It was all created by yu yevin who maintained immortality by making people sacrifice themselves to him. The game didn't really get into detail about how the religion came to be. I liked the idea of an entire civilization following in a religion that was creating their own suffering, but I'd like to know what came before. What gave them the strength to create the summons? What of the religion is true? What was the world like pre Sin? As it ended, all religion was lost, but everything the game was based on fell with it. Please correct me if I missed something cuz i've never really found an answer.

Yunalesca explained the origins of Yu Yevon.

he was a bad magician or something but with time people thought of him as something of a god ,they never tried to kill the source of all evil , because to them hes the god. that will possess the final aeon start building "Sin" for 10 years time,  by that time its called the calm , and it like the circle of life to them, each ten years one summoner must defeat sin by sacrificing their guardian to summon the final aeon and then the final aeon will kill the summoner AND sin , but not Yu yevon.

but seriously he looked like a mudcrab. it made me lol when i saw him.

http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Yu_Yevon here is the full info about him really good info right there i didn't know he is the father of yunalesca.

@Incondite

The religion wasn't created by Yu Yevon itself.

Yu Yevon only created Sin and the Dream of the Fayth keeping Zanarkand alive because of the War between Bevelle and Zanarkand a thousand years before the game's span.

Bevelle civilization, seeing the destruction that they wrought with the war, created the entire religion of Yevon behind it, the Spiral of death that became Spira after Sin's ressurgance was actually created from the First Summoner to actually fight Sin, Yunalesca.

Yunalesca, a disciple of Yu Yevon, deviced a plan to create that spiral of death, as means of making the people of Spira remind the horrors that the ward wrought, by allowing them peace and respite for a few years after each Sin's defeat at the hands of the Final Aeon (A guardian of the Summoner chosen by them, a part of the Spiral of death), only to have the people go into despair once Sin appears again, after Yu Yevon assimilates each Final Aeon and shapes them to be the new Sin

The religion itself is just a cover up of Bevelle and the Maesters, to actually try to hide all the mistakes of the past. That's why they banned Machines and everything that reminded the people of the past, thus also banning the Al-Bhed, because their search for Machina and everything related went against their efforts.

The summons, or aeons where created as potenciators of the summoners, allowing them to gain enough strength to actually craft the Final Aeon at the end of their journey in Zanarkand. Once again, it was all a plan of Yunalesca and Bevelle's maesters in the first years of Sin's appearance.

The only Aeon that was created independently was Anima, it was created when Seymour's mother decided to become a Fayth, partialy to escape from the shame of birthing a Guado, partialy to allow her son to become powerful and someone in the world, a final act of motherly love.

FFX had enourmous potential and a lot of flaws, but seriously, if I were to notice and find a solution to every single issue in every single game, no one would be rated more than 6 or 7 in my book .
