It's funny how every time NPD comes out, USA becomes the world and the rest of it is forgotten.

The PS3 has a great advantage and I don't see it slowing down for quite some time.  It will be ahead for the rest of the holidays and it has MAG, GOWIII and GT5.   I'm sure MS is worried, but they won't show it to the public.

From here on out it's a gun fight, and Sony is going to let Microsoft know that they need to stop bringing a knife.

Funny how the PS3 Trolls come out of the wood work and into the Microsoft Discussion forum.

Almost as funny as how everyone just has to talk about US sales in an NPD US sales thread.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

That could have something to do with what NPD stands for...

Arrogance?

I think Halo Reach will be huge for sure. I can't even imagine the bundles and hardware sold the week it will be out.

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"

You ask why we don't talk about the rest of the world in an NPD thread? What're we going to talk about? Sales in China? I mean come on...

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

Halo Reach, Natal and most likely another Call of Duty next winter in the US.
Holiday 2010 is going to be another victory for the 360 in the US, and thats without a price drop.

There will be a price drop, it's great and all the 360 is beating the ps3 by 100k in Nevember in the US, world wide is another story. MS won't let the PS3 get too close, they will drop their price sometimes next year.

I agree. The big 3 are out to FIGHT next year, I just get the feeling Microsoft are going to unleash the beast aka $99 Arcade

So why is a title like MAG, which is a FPS, supposed to be a big title next year?  Last PS3 exclusive FPS I saw that was supposed to be a game changer and make a difference was Killzone 2.  Well, it didn't make a difference.  Do you think that MAG is going to cause the world of console FPS games to tip in the favor of Sony?  What happens if Halo Reach supports up to 500 players in a single battle online at the same time?  I think MAG becomes irrelevant at that point.

I see Gran Turismo 5 being important, but God of War 3?  As good as it is, why is it going to end up being a huge differentiator?  If Bayonetta ends up being all that, then God of War 3 is offset.

God of war is off set? bet please!!!! ohh plz!!!

You missed my point.  I wasn't speaking of the thread in general.  When NPD data is released, it seems as if sometimes it is treated as if it is world data when it is not.

Yeah i want to see Halo Reach be Ms killer app next year. GT5 sales might be surprising.

Halo Reach will be the killer app for the 360 but Mass Effect 2 seals the deal for Microsoft pwning 2010.

I'm trolling here, but I can't contain myself, this is ridiculous! If you look at the WORLD sales, 360 got it's ass kicked in November, 1,735,000 ps3's to 1,056,000 360's, that's 679,000 more ps3's than 360's! Talk about selective, that would be like sony bragging about sales in Japan of ps3's over 360's, it doesn't mean squat!

Nintendo has some games next year, but it's not enough to even be noticed in the PS360 war. LMAO
