God of War is already almost too ridiculous for me to be honest, but it gets my adrenaline going. Dante's inferno just didn't feel like there were real obstacles. Everything felt like it was trying to make me feel powerful in too obvious of a way. After he gets stabbed in the back, Dante stands up like a WWF wrestler suddenly getting a second wind and pulls the knife out of his back like he accidentally sat on a tack. And then Death sounded like an unlucky fourteen-year-old had sneaked out of the underworld with his dad's reaper robes on when he started whining about how I was beating the crap out of him.


I definitely agree with you though that they made a good solid game in terms of gameplay. And it doesn't bother me when one game clones the gameplay of another, it's something that happens all the time, after all.

Dante's Inferno is like a pretty good looking girl with a really annoying personality. It just doesn't get me in the mood, you know? I guess I could always skip the cutscenes, right? Just too distracting when all I want to do is kill some guys.

By the way, I really liked Bayonetta, so maybe they just appeal to different tastes.

I haven't played GoW 3 demo yet, but I know what to expect having played them all - knowing GoW 3 will add more epic-ness to it. I actually love DI demo. Yes! it's a rip off of GoW even to the fire circle icon :/ but I love the cross move - f*k that shit is awesome and combine that with other combo's - you don't give a shit if you mashing or if it is like GoW. It feels good and I had no interest in getting it, but I'm really considering it now :D

The subject matter in Dante's Inferno is so so rich, there is a ton of potential. I mean they could go balls out and do like the book and place mohammed in hell, that would get the critics on their backs.

Last of trilogy, not franchise. I remember reading it on this site a while back.

I'm playing Dante's Inferno atm having rented it. Besides a great start (which was also ironically the demo), the game quickly sinks to hellish depths hahaha. Boss battles are dull particularly after playing Bayonetta, and the first half of game lacks idk motivation? I don't care much for Beatrice, well not yet. We'll see how the second half goes. So far tho, it's a lame rip off from GoW, no doubt about it.
