The demo wasn't up last time I checked, must go see again later.

The GOW III demo was pretty awesome though, so it would be tough to beat.

I finally got to play the Dantes Inferno Demo on the PS3 and here is my verdict:

Dantes Inferno is basically a God of War rip off......................but.....I LOVE IT!!!!!

-Gameplay: Far more moves Dantes Inferno, magic and a wealth of death dealing, but God of War pulls the moves off better with solid animations. It also had lots of blood and gore.

-Graphics: God of War 3's graphics were ultimately better.

-Style/ Presentation: Dantes Inferno had way more style melding comic book style cinematics with CGI and worked well with telling what little story it did.

-Story: Dantes Inferno....because God of War 3 was all action, but then again....come on...it's Dantes Inferno, one of the greatest Epic poems ever. Good thing the gaming industry got their hands on it before Hollywood did.

Verdict: Dantes Inferno had the more well rounded demo, but then again the God of War 3 demo was from back in June. The dantes Inferno demo had lots more time to gain polish, so I will not make my final decision until I play both. I am so buying the God of War collection next week. :)

Darksiders > GOWIII > Bayonetta > Dante's Inferno.

That's my current ranking for the hack n slash games due next quarter, from someone that's played non of them yet :P. Really need to get on top of these demos.

I really want to get my hands on darksiders though, only heard positive things thus far.

I thought the controls were actually kind of clunky, I mean you move with L3, but dodge with the R3. I don't like that. The animations seemed kind of stiff to me too, but it was fun using the grab feature killing them. The grim reaper fight though was really cheesy. Dante's Inferno just doesn't have that epicness feel while in battle.

Dantes Inferno actually showed off some story. Thats why it won in that category. The GOW3 demo had nothing but action. Secondly I've never played a GOW game before, so I am playing both styles for the first time.

Thats funny. I had vastly more moves (even in its simplicity) to use than God of War when facting the grim reaper. The evade/dash R3 button is the same as god of war 3's and it is actually faster and helps you evade within a flash instead of just rolling. The controls of the game were virtually identical besides for the grab button and the fact that Dantes Inferno allows you to use magic as well.

What particular parts of the poem do you feel like they've used well in the game, Stage?
