first off, i wanted to point out a pattern on numbered final fantasies:

ff1,2,3 appeared on nes

4,5,6 on snes

7,8,9 on ps1

10,11,12 on ps2

and coming this gen we know we will have 13 and 14, however we're already 3-4 years into the generation and ffxiii still has yet to be officially released. i was wondering if you think squenix (as i call them) will be able to pull off the tradition of 3 fantasies per gen, or if the next generations coming up too quickly. has anyone heard any rumors?

well considering how long they took on these two, i dont think weill see it till next gen im afraid. Besides we still dont no when FFXIII versus will be out

Unless this gen lasts alot longer than is currently predicted, I don't think so. Development cycles have gotten longer this gen.

well on that note, with both sony and microsoft coming out with motion controllers next year, it doesnt really seem like this gen will be short. rather it seems like they are reviving it. and especially with the amount of time it takes a single team to put a game out on either system, a 5 year generation just doesnt seem very convenient for the developers. i think we have at least another 3-4 years left for either system

Is the tactics team doing the FF XV again? It will be just fast to develop because the engine is ready from XIII, Versus XIII and XIV. They should stay with FFXIII level of graphics.

Actually, maybe it's already in production, like, there is three teams making main FF nowadays(that I know). One makes the first of each gen, one make the MMO and expansions and another to the last of the gen. I hope S-E learn from their mistakes announce the game just in the maximum one year of advance.
