Forums - Nintendo - Eurogamer Sin and Punishment 2 review

i reckon they should update the graphics on the original sin and punishment and release it as a retail game, and make a game collection pack for sin and punishment... they did it with god of war 1 and 2, i would buy the limited edition collection

¿Para los Estados Unidos? Ellos no han dicho.

I dont think most people here know what is "on-rails". If it is "on-rails" then we are talking about a train that
1) can fly and go underwater
2) attacks using several cannons and a sword
3) must fight giant a artificial sun, mutant insects, a cute cat, a wolf
4) play baseball using missiles

Really, SP 2 has more in common with Contra 3 and Gungstar Heroes than HotD (or other less important "on-rail shooter").

It is a Treasure game, it is a mix of insane, awesome and challenging.

first day buy for me.. well not exactly first day buy probably i will buy it on week 3... i loved sin and punishment on N64 years ago so i am pumped for this, the lighting effects looks beautiful in this game, i dont see any laziness at all in this game.. i consider devs lazy in 2008 but they got better with the wii's technology now

so what is this? a niche title? or a high quality top shelf title?

I'd say its a AA title. It's not a GTA or Mario, but it's not a joke either. Yes I think it will be fairly niche- but thats fine this niche is fairly heavily centered on the Wii.

As for the graphics prepare to be disappointed. Unlike many games this year, this one could easily be running on GC hardware. Having put a few hours into the import thus far nothing has visually popped out to me.  It gets the job done and isn't ugly, but it is certainly disappointing they didn't polish the visuals a little more. Thankful the framerate is great and never fluctuates which is crucial to a game like this. If I had to score it I'd give a an 8.4.
