For those prefering the story in FFXIII... i'm just skeptical of how much of it they actually know...that or it's a biased statement.

LO has an approach to story that I liked a lot.
FF has a developpment time that I found to be beyond ridiculous.

So my preference right now goes to LO overall. Though i'm sure FF will end up as the better game, i'm afraid the story will be mostly forgettable...

I know quite a bit about FFXIII's story. The overall background and setting is amazing. You can even tell from the vauge details that its going for a deeper narrative

Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

I don't know enough about FFXIII yet in terms of story and characters , but it's gonna be really hard to beat LO's story. I think it will pass it in gameplay and style. Overall LO is the best JRPG this gen and FFXIII is gonna have a hard time passing it up.

This is a stupid question, we haven't played FFXIII yet. Lost Odyssey was one of the better after launch titles for the 360 and still one of the top JRPG's but FF has had years to capitalize.

Then I rest corrected on your account.

I'll agree that traditionnally the FF stories have been varying enough from one to the other to remain interesting. I guess my skeptism is due to the whole HD whoring feel the game is giving me... (that and I don't even think the in game screens are great...)

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

I must admit LO really reminded me so much of FF8, it was mature and dark, but still had the great game play aspects from what you expect from an JRPG, still I think FFXIII will remind everyone who still is the master of making JRPG's lol

it's the future of handheld
