Yep it is, just like every other FF game that didn't get a 40/40:
FF X 39/40
FF IX 38/40
FF VII 38/40
FF XI 38/40
FF VI 37/40
FF VIII 37/40
FF III 36/40
FF IV 36/40
FF II 35/40
FF X-2 33/40

Wait a sec... FF XII is the only FF game to get a 40/40. The whole series must be doomed... A perfect score on Famitsu just means 4 guys agreed on how good they thought a game was.. I am sure if the game gets a 36 or higher the game will not be doomed.

Why are people draging nintendo here?
Also FF12 is the only FF to have 40 and it wasn't such a big seller as other ones, meaning FF13 shouldn't have 40
