What about 12 weeks before launch?

And anyway, I think that after FFXII that disappointed a LOT of pepole, many pepole are still skeptic about FFXIII, and wait for reviews/opinions about the game before pre-ordering.



Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.

Charts dont go that far back... so you are thinking 3 weeks would make that much of a difference? Ok... if FF13 quadruples its numbers in 3 weeks... i'd still be on target... so it needs a 3k boost 3 weeks in a row.

RE5 managed it in less time even.  I think FFXIII can too, only 360/PS3 sales will be flipped upfront.

because shooters are comparable to JRPGs in NA now? That'd be like me saying MW2 will sell 350k in Japan because WKC did.

RE5's not really a shooter, even if you "shoot".  And in terms of franchise scale, FF's more comparable to MW than RE is.

I think RE5's comparable chiefly to FFXIII as a AAA HD multi Japanese game, with a strong tie to PlayStation's 90s rise.  Similar release timeframes too.  RE5 surprised, I think FFXIII will as well.

RE5 is a shooter. There is no puzzles in it. Its linear. No survival. It is the biggest stray from the franchise any game has done. And it was to get more westerners into it to buy it... AKA make it a shooter... the typical roided up main character from a typical shooter is proof of that.

500k is still pretty far from my prediction. "I'm going to say FF13 will have the weakest opening sales of all FF games in NA" 300k is sub prediction.
