I think the main issue here is what earned 40/40 from Famitsu instead. Personally, no perfect-scored Famitsu game deserves more than a 9/10 in my opinion. Some of them are even 7/10 to me (ahem, SSBB) but again, that's my opinion.

by the way, a 40/40 means almost nothing. Its about the single rating per reviewer. i mean, wtf, i could take mine and Lestat's Rating for demon's Souls, and we would give it a 20/20.
if i pick one of my frustrated friends, we're at 16/20, but at least 1 gave it a perfect score. It just means not even Final Fantasy makes ALL the people out there cry.

Absolutely, because, to be fair, there is no point in continuing this. It was a fairly pointless argument when I started it, and it's even more pointless now that we've both explained our views.

Fair enough, because I don't like to argue against someone who has a Metroid and Zelda sig, that's just too much awesomeness together in the same place :P

It's from Demon's Souls ;) The best game this generation, in my opinion.

Ahh ^^ I've heard so much good about that, that if I get a PS3 I'll make sure to try it out.

I haven't played Valkyria Chronicles yet, I've heard only good things about it, but I haven't found it in any stores on my country, and I can't import anything till next year xD

Plus, the first months of 2010 are too damn packed with awesome games :O
