Forums - Sales - NCSX Email: 4 Lightning PS3 bundles shipped to every FF13 copy (Japan)

Here is an email I got from NCSX today.

Dear NCS Customer,

Square Enix updated their vendors over the weekend concerning the allocation ratio for the FFXIII Lightning Bundles and we won't be allowed to purchase what we originally preordered because they are currently only selling the bundles based on how many copies of the FFXIII game a vendor has purchased. Unfortunately, the ratio is 4:100 or 4 Lightning bundles for every 100 copies of the game purchased.

Probably about 75k HW bundles during that week.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Conservatives:  Pushing for a small enough government to be a guest in your living room, or even better - your uterus.

That's 40k bundles for every 1 million copies -- sounds about right.

Currently playing on PS3: God of War III

Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII

Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger

Most of the Japanese who are interested in FFXIII probably bought a PS3 when the demo came out.

That's actually more than I thougt it would be. I thought since it was a limited edition it would be 20k or less.

Proudest Platinums:
1. Gran Turismo 5
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Wipeout HD
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
5. Super Street Fighter 4

so wait as FF13 will sell 1.5 - 2 Million week 1 (famitsu be damned)

we'll have 60K bundles or something

but how many bundles will they themselves sell & how many copies are being shipped for week 1?

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

I guess we will find out.  If it's 1.5 million first shipment, it will be 60k.

NCSX raised the price by $130, so I'm guessing they are very supply constrained.

I don't how bundling work though. I think that should something like Sony themselves buy a amount of copies directly from S-E and produce the bundles. They're not making more because they want it to be a collectors item i think.

I actually think this is too low from SE.

Is this in addition to preorders from SE club members?
(We had some rumors about three stage selection process for preodering FF XIII Lightning bundle) ?
