Forums - Nintendo - Don't listen to reviewers. Zelda ST is MUCH better than PH.

By the way, minor spoilers:

There aren't 4 dungeons, I read that in some reviews (which makes me wonder if they really played it). There are 5 dungeons and 5 quests like you wouldn't believe in the central dungeon. Aside from the fact the central dungeon doesn't have boss battles, I'd say each time you go there counts as a whole dungeon or close to it. The game is HUGE. Much bigger than PH, it's closer to a console Zelda.

minor spoilers end.

Seriously pick this game up, or just borrow it and beat it. It's awesome.

Is the central dungeon THAT expansive?

Because that's pretty sweet.

Wait... so every reviewer has to be ignored, no matter what they say about the game, but YOU have to be believed? Lolzies

Yes, because I'm far more reliable. I'm not getting money hats and peanuts to give skewed impressions.

I never knew that every reviewer gets those. Guess you don't let your personal bias in the way either? :)

I'll rent it eventually, but I'm uneasy about Zelda these days. I know it's weird, but I tried to replay Twilight Princess the other day and after 2 hours said to myself, "holy shit, Zelda sucks, what the hell happened to it?" My fiancee, who was watching me play, commented that "this game doesn't look fun at all." The only thing I could do was lament that, once upon a time, Zelda was my favorite series by far.

A lot of the NPC details sound neat, but I'm more cautiously optimistic than I was with Phantom Hourglass (the only Zelda game I've never beaten, I despised it). It really bothers me that they chose to go 3-d, I feel like it just makes the game look like shit, and it doesn't even add to the gameplay.

(sorry to anyone I offend, not trying to troll, I'm just frustrated that I don't love Zelda anymore)

Currently playing: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, NBA2k11, Metal Gear Solid, Picross 3d

but everyone's saying ST is better then PH, so we should listen to them!

Can't find the NDS

I really excited about the puzzles, the music, and the game in general.

Aonuma said the new puzzle designer had a new mathmatical approach to puzzle creation and solutions will be a bit different to what Zelda fans are used to. As one of the sadistic Zelda fans, I can't wait - I love being stumped.

I always look foward to Zelda soundtracks since I'm such a big fan of Koji Kondo and his music is always used as the foundation for which the whole score is built upon.

Phantom Hourglass was great but it was the weakest portable Zelda in my opinion. I'm glad to hear that Spirit Tracks is much better.

PH innovate the control system and ST improves upon the short-comings.

However, since it's more of the same, it has to score lower. (Except when it's FPS and on HD.)

or when its a mario game on wii (see i can do that too)
