Forums - Nintendo - So has there been any word at all on Monster Hunter 3 outside of Japan?

I know that it is coming, but I haven't heard any word about when it's actually releasing in the US or in Europe. I've heard some really vague "March 31 2010" date being named for the US, but that just screams placeholder, and if they were actually planning on releasing it around then, shouldn't they have mentioned it by now?

Thing is, me and two of my friends are planning on forming a party on MH3 and playing together online. One of my friends is getting a Wii only for MH3, so we're all pretty excited right now, but the drought of info for an international release is kind of turning me off.

So does anyone know anything yet? Am I just out of the loop?

Summer 2010 was wat I read

i thought it was march. i dont see what capcom needs to say what date it is specifically yet.

Q1 i thought. I think Capcom's trying to focus on selling it's holiday wares for now, and i'd look for an announcement right around Tatsunoko vs Capcom's NA launch (i.e., late January)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

There's no set date for the game, but most sources say its [TBA - March 2010]. So expect it to either come aroumd March or be pushed back to summer.

Also, I gotta say, it looks like Monster Hunter 3 is going to be the Wii's equivilant to Phantasy Star Online. Which isn't a bad thing at all. If I wasn't already waiting for Diablo III and Star Wars: The Old Republic, I might be getting it. Heck, I might anyway.

I don't know anything about Star Wars, but Diablo III... man, I wouldn't be surprised to see that thing pushed back to 2012.

If this does turn out to be the Wii's Phantasy Star Online, that would be awesome. I'll have to see how many friends I can get to buy it. I'm gonna love the split screen (if only that could go online as well...). It'll be fun playing with VGC'ers, too!

Wait, what split screen?  I thought the game was online.  And that was its major selling point.

capcom had made their shipment predictions ending march 31st for the game including sales in the west, more than likely it'll come out Q1.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

The game has split screen but only in the arena...

Oh, really? I must've missed that, sounds lame. I was just watching vids of it, though I don't know the game too well. At least they have something (like MW2's spec ops, should be mildly entertaining).

Thanks for the clarification though, of course I'll still be picking it up. I'm more interested in the online (but man... wish it had split screen online).
