Okay everyone says gt5 will sell like a TRILLION copy but i dont see it happening because if you look back to what other racers have come to

over the years, it looks like racers are just not as popular.

For example Need For Speed went from selling 6.38 million on ps2 alone to selling 1.83 million on 360 and ps3.

even Forza 2 wich was released in 07 sold 4.06 million and Forza 3 with all its hype only sits at 1.42 million.

So these games seem to sell about 25% of what thier highest selling predesesors did, so that would put gran turisom 5 at 3.75 million, 25% of what GT3 A-spec sold.

But considering that Gran Turismo is a stronger franchise and that gt5 prolouge sold 3.30 million, I think a realistic Prediction is

4.5 million.

my prediction for the First week (Worldwide) is 1,5m+.
And it'll hit 6M+ on Lifetime.

This is Sony's biggest franchise, so I would say atleast 5 Million .

11 million. This game will have legs.

I put that in there because i figured it was a good representation of the amount of hardcore gt fans.

1st week - ~2 Million

LT - 10Million+

NFS franchise has also gone downhill in terms of quality, which is a major factor in the sales decline.
Forza 2 was massively bundled, whereas Forza 3 hasn't been so far. Also, the first launch of a franchise on a system will normally do marginally better (If 4 million people buy Forza 2, there will inevitably be some people who just don't like it).

If you want to on just sales changes, GT5P has sold ~4 million, or 3 times the sales of GT4P. Does that mean GT5 is guaranteed for 30 million sales (3 times GT4)? Of course not, but it should show that the GT name and brand is still extremely strong.

I think 6.5-7 million would be a conservative estimate.

I'd probably go with 8-10 million lifetime sales, but it wouldn't shock me if it went over 10 million (especially if GT6 takes a long time to launch).

If GT6 takes more than 3 years to launch, 12 million *could* be achieved, though that is far more hit-and-miss imo than saying 7.5 million will happen.

Recent NFS games are pathetic compared to the older ones,and Forza 3 will most likely outsell the previous game.
GT is perfection in racing,it will sell millions.
Min.: 8.5 Million LTD
Max.: 12.5 Million LTD

Like I said before, it'll do atleast 5 Mill. So I predict ...

First Week : 2 - 2.25 Million

Ltd : 8.5 - 12 Million
