Overall, it's a pretty bad week. FFTA2 bombed in comparison to previous SE efforts. FFTA did ~225k first week.

Winning Eleven DS had a great multiplier vs. Shinobi, and Ghost Squad did pretty good too.

PlayStation 2 - 11,698

Not a great debut for FFTA:2 - one game I would mind getting.

Japanese market still seems pretty weak - even big titles aren't going great numbers.

The NDS still rules the roost (generally) with 7 titles in the top#10, and 17 in the top#30.

In fact, the Wii, PS2 & NDS make up 28/30 spots. Both PS3 & PSP titles have left the top#30, with no 360 to be found. So much for "high-definition graphics"?

no, both ps3 and wii are up from last week's MC, ps3 was 17k wii was 25k.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

It's pretty scary the PSP Slim is now starting to hold above 55k with no new major software. Hopefully this is a great new trend, and maybe some games can now sell.

Everything is up - X360, PS3, Wii. 11/3 should be neat.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Square Enix support and smaller PSP does miracles in Japan. I've always stood by the fact that a huge problem with the PS3 in Japan, is the sheer size of the thing.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
