Hi guys, I was just wandering if you guys could help me with a problem with the Dreamcast.

Here's my problem:

My girlfriend has bought me a Sega Dreamcast for Christmas, but it arrived and it has no cables with it (either power or scart). The power is easy for me to sort out, there's no problem there. But my question is what scart cable I could use? I don't know what scart cable fits the dreamcast and a look on the internet hasn't been much help to me. I know that I could spend £5 to buy one, but that would be a last resort for me (I know I'm cheap).

Here's my question:

I have a universal scart lead which works with PS2, Xbox and Gamecube and I have a Sega Saturn, do any of you who have owned a Dreamcast know if any of these are compatible with the Dreamcast?

(I'm hoping that it may be backwards compatible with Saturn like Nintendo consoles are.)

I haven't tried it. But honestly you can get those cables cheap on eBay

Yeah.... The DC's A/V cable is a bit larger than the PS2 cable, and no, it wont fit. You'll need to find a specific one for the DC.

I have an extra set, so, I'd buy a DC missing cables, but, if you don't have those extra cables, don't be in a rush to play your Dreamcast.
