Forums - Sony Discussion - Will Sony have supply issues with the PS3 this Holiday?

No they won't have any supply issues. Don't forget that sony projected 13m sales for 2009, so they were expecting these kind of sales.

Who knows... if they met black friday demand then why should they?

another question.... did the mega BF deals front load the US holiday sales?

no more then the half price 360 arcade deal that walmart had.

@kitler

pent up demand... different.

Why would one be frontloaded and the other "pent up demand"?

edit: misread it I think.

LOL Avinash... is that you?

Well... If MS can have supply issues with less sales then this... I dont see why Sony would be able to meet demand.

kowenicki says it won't - prepare for empty PS3 shelves next week, lol

@lafiel

i'll bet you then...

OT

and i am still waiting for carification on which region we are talking? does anyone seriosuly think we will see shortages in Europe or Japan? really?

Why not? We'v seen it from MS the last 4 years... lol

It is possible, especially if the PS3 sells better than Sony expected. But I thought they said they upped manufacturing output for the last part of the year to help with demand.
