Forums - Gaming - Platforms need more support

I personally love platforming games and think they have consistantly been among some of the greatest games ever created but they are not popular like they once were and I find that a shame.

I miss great games like Chip and Dale, Duck Tales, and Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse

I also miss great games like Naughty Dogs Crash Bandicoot Series, the PSONE Spyro Series

While the PS2 had some good platformers many have yet to resurface for next gen consoles, I looking at you Jak and Daxter and Sly Cooper.

I want something more than Mario which is always awesome and Ratchet and Clank also always awesome.

Lets bring the Platformer Back if you want to see a new Rayman Game, a PS3 Jak and Daxter Title, Sly Cooper 4 or any other quality platformers of the past brought back to life sound off like you got a pair. That goes for girls too even though I can safely speak for most of the fellas in here and say we are grateful you dont.

I've enjoyed a few platformers this gen. Like New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Wario Land: Shake It, and Kirby Superstar Ultra. Also new games(to the states at least) like the Legendary Starfy and de Blob.

I see where you're coming from though.

Pixel Art can be fun.

I am really curious as to what happened to Rayman

I loved those games as a kid. Why is it that the good platformers are dying left and right?

I LOVE ICELAND!

I agree, but the days of platforming heaven in the PS1 era will never return.

Sad but true.

Apathy by costumers.  A new platformer will have a harder time selling than say a new FPS or new RPG.

That's just... so sad :(

I miss the old Crash and Spyro games, these days you just wouldn't touch them!

@Seece: If ND and Insomniac still developed them, I would still buy them for sure (granted they still have fresh new ideas to bring to the table).

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

You've bought LPB and MM9?
