PS4 wont be out for another 3 or 4 years. All these sites talking about the next gen consoles are lying out their asses.

I agree, ps3 isn't even at half of it's lifetime so ps4 won't come out even if microsoft rushes xbox 720

While I thought your theory was very clever, I don't fully concur that Sega failed because of launching too early:

1) At the time the DC had the best launch ever

It was doing really well, but two things stopped it:

2) The INCREDIBLE amount of hype surrounding PS2

Then the real killer was of course:

3) Piracy.

No-one was buying legit software anymore and the financial cookie crumbled.

Another reason why they didn't launch too early imo is that if they launched later then

4) They would have had to contend with PS2, Xbox, Gamecube

DC sold 10million in a very short space of time. It could have made it, but Sega made some very stupid business desions.

It's very sad, I thought the DC was wonderful.

Don't know , IBM did not cancel development for the cell, so I don't think this is true, The specs may be , but which processor may not be. We need to wait for an Official Statement from Sony regarding this issue .
