Seriously, an action/adventure game finally comes along that shows off the true potential of the Wii motion + and is epic at the same time, and the devs have to go and completely kill the building hype I had for this game. Oh well, there's still Monster Hunter 3, and Zelda Wii.

I might still buy this game, if only for the online co-op and the depth of weapons and battle system, but my hype has completely gone down the drain after reading the dreaded "on rails."

Just by being an action game rather than a shooter, this title has already differentiated itself from most of the other mature games that have come out recently.

As for the 'drawing lines' bit. I suspect it uses IR for the plain wiimote to determine angle/speed of slash, WM+ is optional if you want to make more enthusiastic gestures, and CC thumbstick support is thrown in for those rare thumb wigglers out there who are too cool to get enthusiastic with their gameplay.

A lot depends on what "on rails" means.

Most traditional shooters are "on rails." And what the brief trailer reminded me of was "Sin and Punishment" -- which tends not to disappoint.

Ahm... no... in my sig im asking for some motion PLUS games.

Even if i loved RE4 wii (and i played it through twice, even having played it on the cube and ps2), these publishers still own us some good motion plus games

Lets see if this Reginleiv can live up to the hype, regarding motion plus controls! I sure hope it does!

ohhhh no wonder the graphics seemed to be better than what I would have normally expected for a wii game.
I'm a bit disappointed as well as I didn't know that this was the case, but there are some games which are meant to have some on-rails aspects, and I'm hoping this is one of them.

with everyone crying out for a traditional on rails star fox it doesnt seemthatbeing on rials is nccesarily bad. ill wait for some actual impressions before i pass judgement

We´re gamers, we will overreact at every minimum aspect of a game.

Specially when we needs good games so bad like on the wii.

And for the largest part of the gamer populace, yeah, on rails is a dissapointment
