The latest issue of Japanese publication Famitsu features a survey on the Holiday season. Retailers and consumers took the survey test and some of the results may surprise you, and others are just as predicted.

Top 10 products most likely to sell:
1. WiiFit (Wii)
2. Xbox360 hardware
3. Wii hardware
4. PS3 hardware
5. Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)
6. Dragon Quest IV (DS)
7. Final Fantasy IV (DS)
8. DS Lite hardware
9. Dynasty Warriors 6 (PS3/Xbox360)
10. Slimline PSP hardware


And here are the top 3 titles most likely to sell by each platform.

DS:
1. Dragon Quest IV

more than that look at the hardware listing below the 360 is at 5.3% (the lowest) but is listed #2 overall?

This listing is messed up. Can't be accurate, or at the very list was poorly worded/translated.

I think the reason the XBox 360 places so close to the top was that there were so many reasonable answers to "What will sell the most" that the votes were heavily split ... After All the following products will probably see some pretty solid sales through out the holiday season and I'm not sure which will sell the most units:

WiiFit (Wii)
Wii hardware
Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)
Dragon Quest IX (DS)
Final Fantasy IV (DS)
DS Lite hardware

But the fact that anyone selects the 360 to sell well in Japan over any of those choices over the holidays is surprising to me. The numbers will tell if it is correct or not in time.
