Yeah. This could be on the shelf next to 360's full body Boom Blox.

'Neither did CTW, it bombed twice (though much, much harder the 2nd time around).  It'd be the same story for DSE.And much like CTW, I'm sure the 2nd time DSE bombed the industry media reasoning would magically shift from the platform's inherent inability to sell "mature core games" to basic faults in the game's own appeal.'.

Point being that it wouldn't take much at all to beat the sales of the Wii game. A feat that would pretty much nullify your other comments.

Selling 20k rather than 10k wouldn't really amount to much in the end.  It'd undoubtedly bomb on the HD consoles, and it'd get blamed on the game itself rather than the consoles.  CTW all over again.

Developer expectations would be high for a Wii port? And remember, High Voltage were 'happy' with sales of The Conduit, so it isn't a bomb... /sc

lol, who's talking about The Conduit?  That game sold like 300k, DSE sold maybe 50k.

Many graphical assets are already done, and those that aren't won't take long to upgrade to HD standards.

Err... I'd say the opposite. Making them for HD would be almost like making them from scratch. The opposite process should be easier of course.

Didn't GoW Collection take a few weeks?  That is 2 full games, DS:E is very short.

I don't know what they did with GoW collection. Did they update all models and textures to HD standards, or did they just slap on some upscaling like the 360 does to Xbox games?

If it was that simple, making HD graphics wouldn't be more expensive than making SD games.

My idea here was to remake the game with HD assets, which is not what was done with the God of War Collection, it uses the same assets as the PS2 games.

I really see no reason not to do it (besides HD dev costs), simply because IT'S A FREKEN HD FRANCHISE....
I still don't see how they expected this to sell on Wii...

If it is true (as I've heard) that a lot of the content derives from the first game, it could be kind of pointless.

As far as I know, it's a different story with on rail gameplay. But it's pretty much the same ship and the same enemies.
