a true classic...

...played it on PC back then, man, i had tons of errors and sound stuttering and the movies would freeze but hell, i loved the game immensly regardless. Scoring a Lionheart was the most satisfying thing ever, EVER !

The music in the PC version was horrible, PS version was better.

Adding to Giglamesh on story, I personally loved it, but most people don't. If you can understand Squall and his ideas, then the game's an amazing love story. If you can't understand Squall and his bluntness, then you'll probably hate the story and think Squall is a crybaby. Just remember, Squall's thought bubbles are hilarious when you take them in context.

Will be replaying this when it releases on the Euro/Australian PSN store.
Needless to say this is my favourite game of all time. Had great characters story and the game mechanics were unique and became fun once I got used to it.

As far as bosses go they're pretty easy. The main thing is to junction the characters properly and boost them while leveling up.
As others have mentioned converting certain cards will get you some killer items.

For instance the Laguna card will give you 100 hero medicines which when used will make individual characters invincible or the Bahamut card which gives 100 mega elixirs.

My strongest character was actually zell. I always assigned the auto haste ability to him and just kept on casting aura while making the other 2 characters invincible with hero medicine.
If he goes down it's even better because I would just revive him and keep him at critical and just use one limit break after another.

And unlike Squall whose limit break finishes are random, you can choose which attacks to do with zell and as long as you didn't use a finishing move you could keep on using the same 3 moves until the timer ran out. In 10 seconds I could do 30 individual attacks which would usually do over 9000 damage each. The only thing you gotta do is cast meltdown on the enemy to reduce their physical defense to zero.

Using the above strategy I easily and quickly defeated Ultemecia and even Omega weapon.
Sorry for the long post just too many great memories :)

Beat it already, first PSN game I ever bought! SO love the broken junction system...I know SquareSOFT regretted that idea lol.

Odd. Future. Wolf. Gang. Kill. Em. All. OFWGKTA Don't give a fuck!

Fuck Steve Harvey. FREE EARL!

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the GREATEST game EVER made!!!

I'd take a bullet for Square-Enix!

no^^ i don't think so. I thought the junction system was a brilliant idea.
I love FF8 and am now replaying it.

I just downloaded it, but I'm at the end of FF7 so I'll finish that first.

You can always make an American account and buy it that way.

Don't forget to let your gfs learn the bonuses quickly. Only fight bosses, then when you have the bonuses equipped as abilities you get stat bonus everytime you level up.

Ynwa.

already finished 7 times. and why do people complain about the gameplay? because is not a shooter?

Hmmm. Playing it first time (well technically second, but I didn't know what the hell I was doing and I was like 6) in 5 days. Actually, FFVII will probably be first then FFVIII.
