An umbrella. But I'm sure there are other answers.

Right in one.
But I'm pretty sure it's the only answer.

I concede. That is one of the only riddles I have ever heard with one answer.
Can you think of another?

The Hobbit had quite a few. It used to be the whole idea to come up with riddles that only had one answer, and also were pretty nifty little rhymes.
It's been years, but...
A box without hinges, key or lid
But golden treasure inside is hid
I've got a few more, too

There we go.
A Kellogg's Corn Flakes Box.
No hinges, key or lid. Just a cardboard flap.
Corn is golden. Corn Flakes are made from Corn. Therefore, corn flakes could be considered a "Golden Treasure".
If you try hard enough, there's always one. I doubt it's this one, because Tolkein wrote The Hobbit a fair while before Corn Flakes were created.

A house?
A car?
An office building?

Creases in the box would be hinges, try again

That's a tad technical.

Good riddles often are, but it's in the spirit of the riddle, too.
"No hinges, key, or lid" means specifically that there's no way to open the "box" without breaking it. If somebody tries to find a technical loophole, the answer they get should be in kind.
Ooof, this is a head scratcher.
So a box that can't be opened with golden treasure...
