Forums - Nintendo - Wii has the bloodiest games!

Alright so since the days of the N64 I have heard that Nintendo as a console has lacked mature content. But today for the first time GameTrailers.com did the top ten worlds bloodiest games. So guess what three of the top ten bloodiest games of all time are infact Wii exclusives. Thats right while Microsoft had one exclusive and two in the list Nintendo actually had more blood soaked games then any other modern platform. So which games are ranked the bloodiest Wii games?

MadWorld headed up the list of bloodiest games coming in at 10th place. We all know MadWorld published by Sega was supposed to be blood soaked and many bragged it would be the most mature game to date. Its no doubt if you've played the game one of the most senselessly bloody games. I know I rented it and the blood was everywhere, the game had over the top fountains of blood flowing from every orphus.

No More Heroes is widely believed to be one of the best hardcore games on the Wii and if blood indicates hardcore then this is definatly one of the most hardcore. Number six on the list No More Heroes beat out big bloody games like Mortal Combat and Ninja Gaiden. One of the better selling Wii games No More Heroes proves their's room for mature titles on the Wii.

One of the most mature titles developed to date onechanbara bikini zombie slayers. Bikini Zombie Slayers beats out big time 360 title GearsOfWar and heading the Wii's bloodies games at number 3. Thats right the 3rd bloodiest game of all time is infact a Nintendo exclusive. Who can deny that Bikini clad blood soaked hot chicks makes a game mature would be insaine!

Among the top ten were two prior Nintendo titles that graces the GameCube and MortalCombat the Super Nintendo. Now sure the Super Nintendo version was censored but the fact remains it was on a Nintendo console!

So thats right the Wii has more of the bloodiest games to date then any other single platform (According to GameTrailers)! To watch the whole episode. With 5 of the ten bloodiest games being on Nintendo's platforms you can hardly argue that Nintendo is a kiddy company. If Even GameTrailers thinks Nintendo has the bloodiest games you can't possibly say "Awes look at the kiddy game console"

So what do you think, were you suprised 5 of the top ten bloodiest games are actually on Nintendo platforms?

Isn't it suprising that Nintendo's exclusives beat out PS3/360 exclsuives in bloody mayham?

Not because the game is bloody, it will sell well, that is, those five Wii games do not count for a PS3 or Xbox360. The Wii has almost no hardcore games, but when companies decide to do, some do not even sell 500mil units, others are, but do not reach 1 million., sad but true

Most hardcore games that are well-made and can actually appeal to people (note: not all, but most) actually do sell pretty well on the Wii. All of the CoD games and RE-games have done pretty well for themselves. The reason MadWorld didn't sell all that well? It wasn't that good of a game. Sure, it's a good enough game to deserve better sales than it has now, but add to that that there was no real value to the game. It was like 6 hours long and went for full retail price. I liked the game fine, and I bought it at full price, but I can't condemn people for not buying it.

As for, for example, Dead Space: Extraction... I'm mainly a Wii consumer. I own a 360, but mainly I use Wii. I never played Dead Space. So why would I want a spinoff for it? Especially when there's a new Resident Evil railshooter coming out just a month later. I love Resident Evil. I have no opinion about Dead Space.

See, most of the titles that sell shit on Wii, it's easy to explain why they did. And it almost always boils down to the developer's not thinking ahead.

Look at actual quality games. No More Heroes may not light up the charts, but it was the best-sold game Suda 51 ever made, and that sure as hell counts for something. Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition may be a port from last-gen, but the game is amazing and the controls are superb. Monster Hunter Tri is an actual effort and it clearly shows - That game is beautiful.

See, effort will give you sales. Lazy cash-ins will not.

Knowing Australia's history of banning and censorship I wouldn't be the least bit suprised. I was just suprised to see GameTrailers ranking the Wii as having the most blood splattered games this generation. Usually Nintendo gets the but end of the kiddy jokes on GameTrailers, so I was really suprised that three of the Wii's titles made top ten!

I've always thought that bloody =/= mature.

But that's just me.

Those games are bloody, but they aren't realistic violence. They are acceptable for kids in my book.

onechanbara was also released for the 360 wasn´t it?

Whoops my bad, okay the Wii is tied with 360. But seriously 3 of the top ten bloodiest games are for the Wii. How can it possibly still be considered a kiddy console?

I haven't played either, but they have different titles. So I assume they differ.
