I was an idiot and used Selphie over Quistis despite Quistis having Selphie's best things and more :/ I liked Zell though, he used to do massive damage with his limit break where he just punches people and flings them in the air and stuff.

Btw, Persona 4 has some hax enemies and bosses are on the sort of hax side until you grind a bit and get a better Persona then you can just crush.

But atleast in Persona 4 you can control all of your party members. In P3 you could only control the main character. Put on top of that the A.I. for the other characters sucked. Even with all of this P3's battle system still managed to be fun.

I thought Persona 3's battle system sucked because of the idiot AI companions. God, it was such a chore to train. I was always scared to die right before the teleporter because of an idiot spamming a magic that would hit multiple targets, thus making enemies get back up instead of staying down (and kills the main character in one hit after with an overpowered attack, whoop de doo!).

That is true. It was alot of fun jumping the enemies once I had them all down and making different personas though.

Assign tactics, people. Everyone to knock down. That's it.

The only problem in this game was mudoon/hamaon before I had homunculuses. Overall, with the way I played (grinded into dust) the game was super easy. The last boss was pathetic and I did away with both stregas in 2 hits thanks to Helel. Heaven's Blade (extremely high critical rate+very strong attack)+auto-mataru+all out attack. Done.

Good old times there, with VII,VIII (yuep...IX wasnt my thing, but still....spend a good 100+ hours there too, all max up, best weapons and all that....even the freaking Chocobo treasure hunter game I completed), so lets see:

VII - at least 100 hours, everyone max lvls, best weapons, Limits, and thanx to the bugs, a lot of ultra high level materias...hehehe

VIII - another 100+ game with everything an 'afficionado' (addict) would go for! I remeber being in the islands....was grinding and so...a few hours later I awoke to the game over screen....was going about 4 hours straight without saving to boost there...heheheh

X - My Grid Sphere is complete...with ALL characters! 170+ hours there baby!!!I know people who spend more than 200! Thats kinda too much, even for me...

XII - All maxed out chars, I am still to kill Ultima Weapon, but the rest is done. 150+ hours....Such a pity I cannot play like that anymore.

About grinding in FF games: not really necessary if you just want to finish it, but if you want to complete all the mini-games, treasures and to beat the real challenges the game ofer (weapons and such) you'll have to spend some time doing it, its fun...once you find a good place to do it (XII for example, found this nice live Sochen cave spot where you can do 1-3 lvls per spaw/re-spaw, after lvl 80 easily, you find such spots on your own, or on walkthroughs)

OT - 50-60 hours means at least DOUBLE that to me to really get the feel of the game. I will surelly enjoy it, specially because it will take me months to go through all those hours.

to XII Ultima Weapon is not the hardest opponent there is Yiasmat which is way harder then Ultima Weapon atleast it takes a long long time to beat him. I beat Ultima Weapon in a couple of minutes without a problem buy yiasmat always takes me an hour.

And the grinding in XII is so easy you can programm the characters so they fight infinite time against this flying thing in the mountain temple which always creats a new zombie and after 24 hours are all characters on max.

And to X do you have beaten the judge without yoyinbo ? Again Ultima Weapon is a joke against him.

I hope it will be even bigger then X and XII. I spend more and more time for every new FF to achiev everything I hope this trend goes on with XIII.

Lets see:

Yiazmat was beayten in about 2-3 hours, in one go. I simply did not reach Ultima yet, as in I didnt gone and try to beat him yet. That particular spot of your is kind sad...I am in for the challenge!!! Good leveling spot (kinda easy one at the beggining, if I am remembering right).

X - Judge...If you mean the ultimate creation of the Monster quest, then yes, whithout Yojinbo, twice!!!! First time I was so adrenalized that I screamed.....I was such a kid 8 years ago....heheh...anyway, if you're not talking about that beast...I dont really remember then, its been at least three years since I've played X....if so, i'll hunt him down as soon as I manage some time (this Christmas more like it)

lol duh. I was just saying. I mean, it was hard to get back to archaic gameplay when I started with Persona 4 first!

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

I got my ass owned by the final boss quite few times because it would go into uber hax mode when it was almost out of hp.

What level were you on? and what persona did you use? I swear, tartarus guards were more challenging.

Around level 70. I forgot exactly what personas used. I know they were really powerful ones though. I've forgotten quite a few things about P3. I might have to replay it.

I see why, then. I had my whole party @ 99 with this backing me up (direct photo from my tv). Needless to say, this fight was a joke.

Holy sh*t, Toriyama (FF13's directer) says that even if the other characters are alive, if the party leader (the character you are controlling) dies in a battle, you get a Game Over. Oh man, its going to be P3 all over again.

Huh? BS!

Especially with how cheap are FF superbosses.
